News - SENSES -"Discovering sensations in the new Adega de Borba wines"

Continuing the existing gamma of mono and bivarietal wines, the Adega of Borba launches in the national market in November, four monovarietals with the brand SENSES, four different kind of grapes - Antão Vaz, Aragonez, Syrah and Touriga Nacional of the 2008 harvest, these grapes have the objective to stimulate the four Senses of each consumer. With these wines the consumer will know some of the traditional grapes from the Alentejo region as the Antão Vaz and the Aragonez, and the excellent adaptability of the Syrah and Touriga Nacional grapes to the terroir and Alentejo climate.

This is a discovery of the characteristics and particularities of each kind of grape. The consumer will be able to find the four monovarietals from November in the store of the Adega in Borba, in wine-shops and gourmet stores, could be acquired separately or in one pack offers of four bottles.

Senses Antão Vaz 2008 Tasting Notes
Crystalline aspect and a citrin color. Elegant aroma with some floral at the beginning, but the tropical fruits dominate and persist. Young flavor, with sufficient freshness, it evidences the fruits white pulp citruses and fruits mature with honey. Wine with structure, balance and elegance in the end.

Senses Aragonez 2008 Tasting Notes
Limpid aspect, garnet color with some opacity. Aromatical intensity of mature red fruits, and cherry. Soft and full palate of mature wild fruits, red blackberry, a rich and long flavor.

Senses Syrah 2008 Tasting Notes
Deep garnet colour with red gleams. Intense aroma with special and complex notes of red fruit as well as new wood. Smooth taste, with acid notes of forest fruit, velvet tannins as well as slight vanilla and cinnamon. Particularly persistent in the mouth.

Senses Touriga Nacional 2008 Tasting Notes
Deep ruby colour, with an intense and elegant aroma with a predominance of floral notes, especially of violets and roses. Smooth, with a well-balanced astringency and acidity, harmonious mixture of vegetal and vanilla notes, particularly persistent at the finish.
