Adega de Borba launches the new harvest of Adega de Borba Rose, already with grapes from this year’s harvest. Thus, a young and fresh wine was born, signed by the oenologist Óscar Gato. Produced with Aragonez and Syrah grape varieties, this is the ideal wine to accompany the first chestnuts of the year.
It has a salmon color and an aroma with good intensity of red currant and red plum. Its flavor is balanced, with youth, wild fruity, excellent freshness and final persistence.
Made from selected grapes in certified vineyards for the production of D.O.C. Alentejo from the Borba sub-region, the harvest was done manually in the morning, allowing a good temperature of the fruit on arrival at the winery. After destemming with light crushing, a 12-hour skin maceration in a stainless steel vat at 10ºC was followed. To preserve the fruity character and persistence of freshness in the wine, bottling was immediate.
Adega de Borba Rosé 2020 is ideal to accompany seafood, grilled fish and white meats, and is also an excellent appetizer. With an alcohol content of 12.5%, this wine should be consumed within two or three years.
